I’m not convinced this issue warrants its own chapter in the User’s Guide, but the alternative would have been to cram a lot of material into the basic formatting chapter that most users don’t want or need to know about. Most horizontal justification in Word is done with respect to the tab settings or to the indent to the left or right of the cursor (not margins). You will see five icons in the paragraphalignment area if you have that language support switched on, with the fifth one indicating that it is distributed. As part of East Asian Language Support, this feature has been included into Word since at least Word 2003 and is available in all versions of the software. The word distributed should never be used in a regular text in English.
